Sneekweek

Water, party and nice weather! What more do you want? This annual event lasts 7 days and starts on the Friday before the first Saturday in August. After a day full of ceremonies and festivities, the sailing competitions on the Sneekermeer begin on Saturday.

Vlootdag Harlingen

Enjoy a festive start to the sailing season! Every year, there is a different theme. Visitors can enjoy the nautical atmosphere in the seaport town of Harlingen. There is a lot of music, a large colorful market, children's games and demonstrations. There is also plenty to admire on board!

Frisian balloon festivals

The Frisian balloon parties is the largest balloon event in the Netherlands. Every evening during five days, dozens of hot air balloons from the Netherlands and abroad will take off; many have special shapes such as an angel, tree, lion, locomotive or car. There is also a varied program for all ages.
